TREE For YOU

On Friday, 18 November 2010 the pupils in both Year 6 classes together with their teachers Ms Rita, Ms Josette and Ms Maria, attended a tree planting activity at the National Park, Salini.

Two olive trees bought through donations made by the children themselves, were planted on their arrival at the park. The children also enjoyed a tour of the various sections of the park and visited a number of stands that had been set up for the occasion. The stands included one about cow milking and another about beautiful animals and birds. One particular stand exhibited models about conservation of energy from the sun. There was an interesting talk about health and safety as well as a hands-on activity about how to plant seeds in a pot.

It was a well-organised event in a safe environment and all participants enjoyed themselves thoroughly.
